PHOTOGRAPHY This is a competition for amateur photographers. You can put your photo/s up on the photo-boards provided inside the Marquee, from 5pm Friday, prior to the Show. Please ensure that you put your ‘Entry Class Card’ next to each of your photos on the display boards (these are provided in the small brown ‘Exhibitor’s Envelope’, which you must collect from the Main Entrance of the Marquee, on arrival). All photos to be shown without frames or mounts, and not to exceed 20cm x 15cm (8” x 6”) – INCLUDING THE BORDER PLEASE NOTE : There is a maximum of TWO ENTRIES per exhibitor per class.
Novice
These classes are for people who have not won a 1st prize in that particular class e.g. if you have won first prize with a dahlia exhibit in the Novice section (or the equivalent ‘open’ class), you must not enter this novice dahlia class again, but you can enter any other class.
The standard in the novice classes is not expected to be as high as those in the open classes, so it’s worthwhile trying to show in these classes for the first few times as a good way to learn. If you are unsure about your exhibit, ask for assistance, as most of the more experienced exhibitors are pleased to help. Always read the wording of the exhibit and remember not to add anything ‘for good measure’.
